Notice for stepper wiring

  • Don't trust the data sheet or other schematics to be correct. You should test the wires yourself to find the coil pairs. Do not connect/disconnect the stepper motors while the board has power. You can blow stepper drivers. With the motor wires NOT connected to anything:
    The idea is to find the two cables that form one of the two coils inside the stepper. If you short two wires together and the stepper shaft is hard to turn by hand you found one pair of wires for a coil.
    Example- If black and green wires are a pair call them coil 1, than red and blue can be coil 2.
  • Duet labels the Duet 2 Wifi stepper ports with 2B 2A(red-blue) and 1A 1B(green-black).
  • Duet 3 is labeled B1 B2(black-green) and A1 A2(red-blue).

Required hardware:

  • 2x M5x20mm flat head screws
  • 2x M5 nuts
  • 2x M5x8mm/M5x10mm screws
  • 2x M5 T-Nuts

  • This is simply a modified version of the front panel for those who do not wish to use a screen of any kind. You will use the original right front panel.

2020 Metal Kit Enclosure Spacer

Metal Kit Orbiter v1.5 Mount

Addon mount for Orbiter v1.5 with optional cable chain mount
Cable chain hole spacing is 10mm
Required hardware:

  • 4x M3x10mm Countersunk Socket Head screws-Mounts adapter to top of X carriage
  • 2x M3x16mm Button Head screws-Mounts Orbiter v1.5 and Block Shield to adapter plate
  • 4x M3 nuts-2 are for optional cable chain mount

Metal Kit Orbiter v1.5 Mosquito Mount

This mount is untested. It was created based on Slice Engineering's CAD model.
Required Hardware:

  • 4x M3x20
  • 8x M3 nuts
  • 2x M3x10

Metal Kit Duet Tool Board v1.1 Mount

Metal kit mount for the Duet Tool Board v1.1. If you have a BLTouch mounted on the rear of the X Carriage, you will need to move it to the front. You can find the one I designed here
Required hardware to mount to the X Carriage Rear:

  • 2x M3x6 or M3x8
  • 1x M3x12

Required hardware to mount the Tool Board:

  • 3x M3x6 or M3x8 button head screws

2020/2040 Cable Chain Mount

Simple mount to secure the cable chain to 2020/2040.
Required Hardware:

  • 2x M5x10
  • 2x M5 T-Nuts
  • 2x M3x6 flat head screws
  • 2x M3 nuts
  • 4x M3x8 flat head screws

Rear Cover

This is an aesthetics mod. You would need to remove the rear air scrubbers. I've uploaded 2 versions:
Rear Cover-Split into 2 files.
Required Hardware:

  • 8x M3x8 countersunk screw
  • 8x M3 T-nuts

Rear Cover w Webcam Cutout-Has a cutout in the middle for a webcam and is split into 3 files for make printing easier.
Required Hardware:

  • 10x M3x8 countersunk screw
  • 10x M3 T-nuts

Rear Stepper Timing Gear Jig

A jig I made to aid in timing geat placement. The spacing is 1.75mm

Metal Kit X Carriage Top Plate Wire Loom Holder

Top mount holder for the wire loom.
Required hardware to mount to the X Carriage top:

  • 4x M3x8 or M3x10 countersunk screws
  • 1x zip tie to hold the wire loom into the printed part

Metal Kit Metal Kit ADXL345 Rear Plate Mount

Mounts an ADXL345 Accelerometer to the rear of the X carriage. 2 versions have been uploaded:

  • Option 1: Uses heat set inserts to mount the accelerometer to the mount.
    ** 2x M2.5 x 3 x 3.5 Heat Set Inserts
    ** 3x M3x8 flat head screws
    ** 2x M2.5x6mm socket head screws

  • Option 2: No heat set inserts. Thread the 2.5mm screws into the printed part.
    ** 3x M3x8 flat head screws
    ** 2x M2.5x6mm socket head screws
