CNCF End User Community

CNCF offers multiple opportunities for End Users to contribute and have their voices heard. Companies that use cloud-native technologies internally, but do not sell any cloud-native services externally, are eligible to join the End User Community.

Online community channels

If your organization is already a member of the End User Community, you can request access here or email [email protected].

Community Events

The End User Partner Summit is the face-to-face meeting, as a private event at KubeCon CloudNativeCon. The goals are to:

  • Share and learn about other end users
  • Find common needs and plan future collaboration

Tickets cost USD $100 which is donated to the diversity scholarship. Your organization must be a member of the CNCF End User Community (https://www.cncf.io/people/end-user-community/) to attend. End user members may purchase up to 4 tickets, and end user supporters may purchase up to 2.

To join, register your KubeCon CloudNativeCon ticket with your company email address and add the "CNCF End User Partner Summit" to your ticket.

The complete agenda is available on the private cncf/enduser repository. If this 404s for you, request access via the Member Desk.

End User SIGs and User Groups

Case Studies

The CNCF produces and lists case studies for our end users and projects:

If you're interested in contributing a case study, please go to https://github.com/cncf/foundation/blob/master/case-study-guidelines.md.

Join

The CNCF End User Community enables you to:

  1. Solve technical issues

    • Collaborate with your peers in End User SIGs. End User SIGs connect end users with similar organizations, in order to overcome common challenges, learn from each other, and share best practices.
    • Voice your thoughts and needs to projects, the Technical Oversight Committee and the CNCF through regular online forums.
    • Receive 2 to 5 tickets ($2,200 - $5,500 value) to attend the premiere event in the cloud native community, KubeCon + CloudNativeCon, in either North America, China or Europe.
    • Meet other end users face to face at End User Partner Summits at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon.
  2. Grow your engineering organisation

    • Increase brand visibility through in our End User Case study program, panels and blogs to elevate your organization’s use of CNCF projects with the community.
    • Participate in the CNCF End User Recruiting Booth at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon to recruit the best and brightest in the cloud native space.
  3. Align your business strategy with cloud native

    • Work with other organizations in the TODO Group to build an open source culture and open source program office within your organization.
    • Educate leadership and legal teams in open source via the Linux Foundation's Open Source Leadership Summit and Legal Summits.
