level-fs-browser

level-fs as drop-in fs replacement for the browser, to be used with browserify.

Usage

With this file, stored as test.js:

var fs = require('fs');

fs.readFile('foo', function () {
  console.log(arguments);
});

you can bundle it up to use level-fs instead of fs, either using browserify's api:

var browserify = require('browserify');
var fs = require('fs');

var b = browserify();
b.require('level-fs-browser', { expose: 'fs' });
b.add(__dirname + '/test.js');
b.bundle().pipe(process.stdout);

or browserify's cli:

$ browserify -r level-fs-browser:fs test.js

level-fs-browser will (create and) use a database called level-fs.
