As I stopped using Pocket Casts in favor of Spotify a while ago, I won't be actively developing Pocket Casts for Linux anymore. Feel free to fork the project though!


Pocket Casts for Linux

Pocket Casts client with support for MPRIS (media controls).

Pocket Casts is a powerful, cross-platform podcast player. It allows you to discover and listen to your favorite podcasts.

This project brings the Pocket Casts web application to Linux desktops, with MPRIS integration to support media keys and "now playing" notifications.

A Pocket Casts account is required to use this app. It is available for a one-time, reasonably priced purchase on https://play.pocketcasts.com.

Installation

AUR

sudo pacman -S pocket-casts-linux-bin

AppImage

  1. Download the AppImage binary from the releases page.
  2. Execute the binary and answer "Yes" when prompted about system integration.
