Welcome to the Python Tutorials Repository

This repository has numerous self-contained tutorials. Some of the topics include:

• Introduction to Using Git
• Using Python for R Users
• Web Scraping
• Data Mining with Twitter and other API's
• Text Analysis of Keywords
• Topic Modeling

Simply FORK the repository, clone, and follow the documentation for each tutorial, which has both README's and supplementary .html tutorials with additional detail, and code that you can run on your machine.

Much of this code was written to supplement teaching in the Computing for the Social Sciences course taught at the University of Chicago.
