VS2019-Dark-Npp

Visual Studio 2019 Dark Theme for Notepad++

This is a loose replica of the Visual Studio 2019's Dark theme in Notepad++. It was created to ease switching between files opened in Visual Studio and Notepad++. It is actually just enhanced from https://github.com/cydh/VS2015-Dark-Npp (credits also to original version https://github.com/SeanCline/Npp-VS2012-Dark) to improve reading, increasing contrast to a comfortable level and differing more keyword types. I also took a bit from Zenburn theme and tweaked a bit to fill some languages missing from the original theme.

Installation

  1. (Optional) If you haven't already, turn on Notepad++ dark mode in Preferences -> Dark Mode to a better look and feel.
  2. Right Click HERE and select Save As to download the theme.
  3. Go to %APPDATA%\Notepad++.
  4. Open themes folder, create a new folder named themes if it doesn't exists.
  5. Place downloaded .xml file inside the folder.
  6. Restart Notepad++.
  7. Open Settings->Style Configurator.
  8. Select VS2019-Dark from the theme drop-down box.
  9. Click Save & Close
