How to make your first pull request?

Step#1: Star this repo 🌟

Step#3: Fork and clone the repository

Step#4: Create a new branch: git checkout -b new-user

Step#5: Create a new file in contributors folder and name the file as YOUR-GITHUB-USERNAME.json. Do not forget to include the .json as file extension.

Step#6: Add your details to YOUR-GITHUB-USERNAME.json file in the below format:

Why is my profile not showing up in the website?
After you raise a pull request, wait for it to be approved and merged to the `master` branch. Upon successful merge, your details will show up automatically within 6-12 hrs on the website (https://hacktober-fest-2020.vercel.app).
When should I make a pull request?
You are welcomed to raise a PR anytime but if you are here for increasing your count for hacktoberfest, star this repo now and raise a PR between OCT 1st to 31st.
Are pull requests counted towards Hacktoberfest 2020?
This repo is to welcome beginners to Github and the opensource community by helping them learn how to make their first PR and contributions to open source!
That said, only high-quality contributions and pull requests that add value to Open Source projects are part of the core values of Hacktoberfest, so repositories like this one and others which allow users to quickly gain a PR toward completing the challenge might be excluded from the Hacktoberfest.
