The Almighty Book Downloader

A Chrome Extension to download your favorite books as pdfs/ebooks. Uses Lib-Gen as a repository.

How to install:

  1. Download the Genesis.crx file from the github repo.

Click here to find the latest version of Genesis.crx

  1. Open chrome://extensions

  2. Enable Developer mode.

Developer mode

  1. Drag and drop the downloaded Genesis.crx file to chrome://extensions

  2. Click on "Add Extension" in the confirmation pop-up.

  3. To use the extension, go to any amazon.in/amazon.com listing of any book.

  4. Click on the Genesis icon. You should get a download button after a while if the book is present in the index.

    • Note: 52+ million books are indexed on Library Genesis.
    • Try for the hardcover/paperback version if e-book version fails to be searched.
    • Better to try on amazon.com rather than amazon.in and search for the hardcover version which has an isbn number
